I know you already know it, but let’s say it again – natural traffic trumps paid traffic any day, everyday. Not that I needed any further convincing, but saw a nice article about this very matter in InternetRetailing this week. There doesn’t seem to be any way to link directly to the article, so look for a piece entitled “Natural Beats Paid” (May 16, 2008).
And since we’re in the Traffic Builder business….

It’s a proven fact that effective SEO will not only increase site traffic and reduce costs. It will also increase conversion rates since search engine users trust the organic search results more than paid ad placements. Any company that isn’t aggressively making efforts to continually improve and refine their SEO activities is losing significant ground to their competitors that do.
